Terms of use
Kadance Terms of Use
Kadance is a free private beta for organising dance-class material within closed classrooms. By accepting these terms, you also accept the Content Rules.
1. Operator and acceptance
Kadance is operated by Daniel Salgado Rojo, an individual established in Spain. Contact [email protected]. You must read and accept these terms and the Content Rules before contributing or publishing content. Acceptance is associated with your account together with the relevant version and date.
2. Beta eligibility
- Be at least 18 years old and live in Spain.
- Have received beta access or belong to an invited organisation.
- Provide accurate information and keep the sign-in account secure.
- Do not transfer access or try to bypass permissions, limits, moderation or security measures.
3. Classrooms and content
Classrooms, courses and classes have roles and permissions. The owner or authorised people manage members and publications; a student's contribution may await review. Belonging to a classroom does not automatically grant access to all its courses or a right to copy, reuse or distribute its content outside Kadance.
A publication may become unavailable if it is unpublished, your permission changes, your classroom relationship ends, or a safety or moderation measure is applied. Authorised downloads are for permitted use within the learning relationship and do not transfer intellectual-property or image rights.
4. Your videos and rights
You retain whatever rights you hold in content you contribute. You do not sell or transfer ownership to Kadance. For as long as needed to provide the requested feature, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, technically copy, generate thumbnails or clips, display and transmit that content only to authorised people and to operate, protect or moderate the service.
You may contribute only material you have the right to use and share. You must have permission from the person who made the recording and sufficient consent or other basis for every identifiable person, as well as respect music, choreography, trade marks and any other rights that may appear.
During the first beta, videos or clips depicting minors may not be contributed. This rule applies even where the contributor has parental or image-use permission.
5. Rules and moderation
Illegal, sexually explicit, violent, harassing, discriminatory, deceptive, privacy-invasive or rights-infringing content is not allowed. The Content Rules form part of these terms and detail the prohibitions. You can report users, videos or clips in the app. Reports are private and are not shown to the teacher or other members.
We may investigate, limit visibility, unpublish, remove content, restrict features, suspend or close an account where proportionate to protect people, comply with law or enforce these rules. In urgent situations we may act before giving notice. You may request review by writing to [email protected].
6. Beta nature
The beta is provided without charge and remains under development. It may contain errors, interruptions or changes. We intend to preserve continuity of accounts, classrooms, courses and catalogue from the external beta into later versions, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or absolute freedom from loss. We will give notice of exceptional changes or resets where reasonably possible.
Personal library videos may remain only on your device. A normal update should retain them, but uninstalling, clearing app data or losing the device may remove them. Keep your own copy of any important original.
7. Leaving and termination
You can leave courses or classrooms according to your permissions and delete your account in the app or on the web. Deletion removes active data under the Privacy Policy; encrypted recovery copies may take up to 35 days to expire and are not reused as an active account. We may end the beta or your access for breach, risk, legal duty or service closure, using proportionate measures.
8. Liability and governing law
Each user is responsible for their use, permissions they grant and content they contribute. Kadance does not limit mandatory rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted, it is not responsible for losses involving originals that existed only on one device, unauthorised third-party use or external services outside its control.
These terms are governed by Spanish law, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection that applies to you. Before using other channels, you may write to [email protected] so we can try to resolve any issue.
9. Changes
Material changes will receive a new version. Where they affect your obligations or content use, we will ask you to accept the new version before contributing or publishing again.
These documents will be reviewed before the external beta opens. Material changes will receive a new version.
